Sergey Makhno Architects
Fujiwara Yoshi Restaurant
Kyyiv, Ukraine
All project descriptions are provided by SBID Awards entrants.
The largest Japanese restaurant in Ukraine was designed by the Sergey Makhno Architects studio at the request of chef Fujiwara Yoshihiro. Fujiwara Yoshi is an 800-square-metre maze designed to lose you in the magnificence of Japanese culture, where you won’t even try to find a way out. The main aim was to communicate Japanese philosophy, not to shout it through clichés. The design of the restaurant follows the concept of cosiness dictated by Japan but read with the Ukrainian soul. Diners will be captivated by details.
