Northern Lights, Lytham

A beautiful, late Victorian semi-detatched villa a stones throw from the sea in Lytham St Anne’s required full renovation and reconfiguration to provide a spacious family home. The owners were living abroad whilst the work took place, so meticulous planning was required to fulfil their exacting brief.

A considerable reconfiguration of the old service rooms at the rear of the house provided a large open-plan kitchen with adjoining utility room. Lewis Alderson created a classic, timeless kitchen that would offer functionality and cohesive storage for a busy family by day and a luxurious entertaining space by night. The design utilises a mixture of fitted and freestanding furniture with an oversized island topped in luxurious Quartzite, becoming the primary focal point. The colour and textures are bold with a good use of glass to reflect the light and add depth.
