A single parent from Asia purchased an apartment in London for her son and daughter to live comfortably and study well during their postgraduate degrees while she runs her business in Asia. Element Living was inspired to create a ‘Healing Home’ for her son and daughter who had just left their mother and their home country to study abroad.

They love playing the piano, so the design scheme ensures a balance of study with a sense of enjoyment. Two desks were implemented into space for studying, with a piano for resting and perhaps coping with grey days. The Piano corner is a theatrical, focal point in the room. The stunning silk from India in burnt orange and ocean blue creates a dramatic effect when used in the large sliding screen to conceal the TV against the backdrop wall in a soft black with blue undertones.
