Jefferson Center – Corporate Consolidation Project
Pennsylvania, United States
All project descriptions are provided by SBID Awards entrants.
Jefferson, a non-profit organisation working in the Health, Science, and University sectors needed to consolidate their dispersed urban campus-based offices into a single vertical campus. FCA was contracted for the full interior fit-out, designing a space to accommodate multiple departments, with open areas for workstations, common rooms, meeting rooms, and executive offices. Working closely with Jefferson to design a space that would help transition their employees from a dispersed campus with offices in multiple buildings, to a contiguous 14 floor campus that would provide and encourage a much-needed sense of collegiality, and whose design could stand up to the 25-year lease. The design was based on a concept of reinforcing the building’s existing motifs, to complement Jefferson’s brand. Common areas and pavilions were designed to centre the office community and serve as an accessible resource hub.
