All project descriptions are provided by SBID Awards entrants.
To reflect the company’s unique business and culture, BARK’s workplace was designed to enable people and pups to thrive alongside each other. Designed to withstand dirty paws and unplanned accidents, BARK’s new tenant space in Columbus, Ohio houses themed conference rooms, workspaces and commemorative toy-lined walls that foster an authentic and engaging workplace.
“Amenity bars” throughout the office help to break up workstations into smaller-scaled neighbourhoods. Each bar offers cosy nooks, fun pup peek-a-boos, accessible power and built-in water bowls. These spaces accommodate alternative modes of work, while wipe-able upholstered cushions offer a comfy spot for all occupants to work and plug in for a good day at work. In addition, a hosting café greets employees and their guests, while serving as a community space for customers and their pups.
