Adding Warmth to Developer’s Villa

Atelier Tymovski was asked to inject a homely feel to the living room and create a warm and welcoming holiday-let suite in the basement, which was to be let when owners were travelling. The dark and claustrophobic space was transformed into a boutique homestay heaven in a rich emerald green, dusky rose and mustard colour scheme with ambient lighting beautifully reflected in luminous sisal wallpaper. The vertical green wall outside with window mirror creates an illusion of a secret garden, immediately lifting the spirit of the space. Upstairs in the family room, designers played with scale and texture, blending vintage and bespoke contemporary furniture in a design scheme that results in a luxurious, yet relaxing space with a dose of mid-century West Coast glamour.
