The Notion

Centered on materials and finishes, the design concept speaks to the sense of touch and the chilling surface left on the finger. The glowing marble in the middle, the source of pure sensations, inflames a contradictory affection that dominantly melts off the last bit of calmness, arousing sensation from within.

The Notion is inspired by abstract thought forms, and the irregular spheres are stacked into columns, interpreting the rational design vocabulary through the cold stone, and conveying a warm touch via the colorful glossy lacquer material, expressing the primitive state of the senses. The irregular surface of the sphere resembles a bubble of boiling water, creating a sense of visual flow under the refraction of light. The coloured spheres in the middle symbolise the perception and difference of things, expressing the strong style of artist Reding Ho.
