Deirdre Dyson has injected a fresh dimension into her 2023 rug collection ‘Angles’, with ten new designs that celebrate the striking effect created by interplaying angles and linear shapes, perfectly illustrated in this design, Can Can. Deirdre teases the eye by alternating dark and light shades, inverting the grading of each colour. These dramatic colour choices are then offset by a black wool background. Deirdre says “The colours are beautiful and showy and reminded me of the Can-Can girls’ uniformity and kicking legs. The combination of colour and angles makes the lower half appear to come forward.”
