Deirdre Dyson’s IMPULSE hand knotted carpet employs colour grading in a very different way, 24 coloured bars of bronze silks undulate to rose and white gold and back again, creating a bordered effect offset by a dusky lilac grey wool ground. IMPULSE is part of Dyson's 2024 ‘Graduation’ collection. The ‘Graduation’ collection focuses almost entirely on colour over formal design. Deirdre says ‘Importantly, my designs for this collection can be made entirely bespoke to the colour choices of my clients, they can simply pick the palette and we can make it happen'
