The clients, a young couple, recently purchased their first home in a Victorian conversion. Having spent some time living in Nordic countries, they desired a blend of Victorian character with the simplicity and neutral colours of Nordic design. The Victorian elements—such as the fireplace, skirting boards, sash windows, and picture frames mimicking wall paneling—are complemented by neutral tones of ash oak flooring and light grey walls. This careful combination creates a harmonious balance between the intricate details of Victorian architecture and the minimalist, airy feel of Nordic design.
