Lucie
Toronto, Canada
All project descriptions are provided by SBID Awards entrants.
CHIL was tasked with designing Lucie, a French fine-dining restaurant in downtown Toronto, paying homage to the client's grandmother, the restaurant's namesake, and her culinary legacy. Drawing inspiration from the iconic song "La Javanaise" by Serge Gainsbourg & Julia Greco, the atmosphere mirrors the sophisticated backdrop of the song's creation, infusing the space with intimacy and understated luxury. References to French culture are woven throughout the interior, from iconic song lyrics adorning the walls to subtle nods in the decor. Lucie Restaurant emerges as a sanctuary for those seeking a rendezvous with French elegance in the heart of Toronto.
