Expansive cut concrete across the floor, cement rendered walls, unapologetically raw brick arched ceilings and soft linens wrap beautifully around a central zen courtyard in this compact retail space for a premium aluminium door/window manufacturer designed by Balan + Nambisan Architects. Working with a play of textures and lighting, the architects consciously keep the interiors restrained in order to draw attention to the product itself. An oversized stretch fabric ceiling light washes the faux courtyard in a soft glow and accentuates the rubble flooring and focal foliage. The strong intent to craft an immersive and experiential space is realised.
