Since conception, Crudo’s mission is to use low cost materials to bring to the Egyptian marketplace modern lighting pieces that appeal to consumers across different socioeconomic classes.

In our workshop in historic Islamic Cairo, our focus is to revive and revolutionize the ancient brass industry by introducing modern designs and training the workers on new skills and craftsmanship that is not limited to Islamic and Arabic designs.

A variety of locally sourced materials were used in producing Galazio all handmade in our shop. From molding the ceramics, recycling the scrap glass to produce these beautiful stones, to all the different brass fittings, wires, plates and rods. This allows us to use different sizes and combinations to customize the product based on the customer’s needs.
