Element 001

Rigby & Rigby’s modern bar, Element 001, is the realisation of the beauty of asymmetrical design with measured and honest proportion. In terms of materiality, the main feature of the cabinet is the marquetry; a combination of white, light grey and dark blue figured sycamore arranged in varying orientations tied together with crisp white lacquer pin striping. The geometric tessellations within this marquetry represent a shift towards their new era of design.

Internally, the leather work is a true exhibition of bespoke detailing complete with a leather enclosure for the cocktail shaker, a flush leather cover that folds back to reveal the cocktail mixers and olive sticks, and a purpose made leather roll housing various wine opening equipment and cigar accessories adding further depth and intrigue to the design. The internal shelves are made from seeded crystal and the brushed brass metalwork both internally and externally is the final flourish that brings the unit together, elevating the level of detail.

Further products which can be purchased in addition to the aforementioned include a bespoke glassware package with a decanter, cocktail shaker and ice bucket. These pieces combine sandblasted, knurled glass and metal alongside a bespoke timber and leather decanter stop. The attention to every material, detail and radius all illustrate a total freedom of expression and design are available to clients either as part of a larger project or as a standalone element.
