42 The Calls
Yorkshire, United Kingdom
All project descriptions are provided by SBID Awards entrants.
Harboured on the Leeds/Liverpool Canal, 42 The Calls was once part of the beating heart of 19th century industrial Leeds. After the area’s decline, this former flour mill was transformed into a boutique hotel in the early ‘90s. Now, after being rescued by a local investor, the hotel is experiencing its latest regeneration. Interior design and architecture practice Nanu Soda took inspiration from the site’s storied history, briefing IMA to realise their exquisite vision of a true 5-star hotel experience. The intricately detailed CGIs created by IMA capture the hotel in all its former industrial glory, bringing to life the opulent luxury that the renovation promises.
