Bourne View was designed to surpass all expectations of a care home. An iconic building drawing on art-déco influences in the surrounding Poole and Sandbanks area, it embodies an oasis of calm modern living, a carefully balance of striking design and the function of delivering award-winning care. The building’s heart is the commanding entrance atrium, supported by polished plaster columns running double height into textured déco leaf tiling. Cafes, cosy sitting rooms and a contemporary bistro flow from this hub out to living walled courtyards. Opulent déco chandeliers and carefully considered lighting flood the home, while natural light streams through from numerous private gardens, stepped into the hill plot. Refined art-déco details and a bold colour palette, combined with gold finishes and ornate wallpapers give a hint of déco glitz. The contrasting aluminium-clad roof pod offers an impressive orangery style bar, flowing into a roof garden with views to the sea.
