Coastal Cottage Devon

This project involved the complete renovation of a Grade II-Listed thatched coastal cottage in Devon, with emphasis on respecting the classic, period detailing but also making the home modern and workable as a family residence. A mix of antique and classic pieces of furniture was used to create a cottage style. Inspiration was drawn from its location and in order to maintain the serenity of the environment, subtle colours were used to replicate the blue of the sea and the green landscape of the woodland that surround the cottage. This created the ultimate peaceful and welcoming coastal retreat that can be warm and intimate but also cater for larger gatherings.
