This master suite within a stunning Grade II listed Cotswold manor is a luxurious sanctuary with 21st century style and functionality, whilst celebrating the building’s fabric and the owner’s love of wood. Simplicity of design enhances the beauty of historic materials and vistas, with timber used for all joinery and flooring set against a backdrop of white walls and furnishings. A substantial double-height suite, with a stunning alabaster sculpture as its focal point, incorporates a bedroom, ensuite, dressing room, sitting area, library and remarkable glass-floored, mezzanine-level study, all with spectacular views of the garden. A bespoke oak bed and headboard, walnut fronted wardrobes, sculptural teak bath and T-shaped teak ‘pod’ housing the shower and vanities complement the exposed honey-coloured stone walls and oak beams. The overall design, with exposed historic fabric, fused with contemporary materials and high-end fittings, has resulted in a truly unique sanctuary.
