Dosha Spa

The brief was to design the main lobby of the Welldosha spa. As the spa is located in a 15-year-old, modern building, the idea was to link the natural ambiance within the construction. The main concept was to create a multi-functional space in which many different events can be held. The designer created a space of suites that can be fully opened up for different purposes. The traditional red soil walls – an ancient way of building houses in Taiwan was used in the construction. This material connects the local surroundings with the interior space; it is also a way to convey the sense of ‘home’ in this space that welcomes everyone and feels like home. Other motifs of the natural world included a decorated moss wall, designed to introduce green into space, and branches, which are a symbol of the strong and energetic modern woman.
