Rathfarnham

Carton Interiors were engaged to design the interior of this family home in Rathfarnham, Dublin in 2020. The client purchased this expansive contemporary property encompassing four levels with generously proportioned rooms throughout. As a new property built in 2016 to passive house standard, the architectural style was minimal and with little warmth throughout. The brief was to retain a clean, linear look but infuse with colour and texture to create a cosy and welcoming home. The open plan space was to become a family room with a separate relaxing area for evening time. A downstairs space below ground level was to be converted into a games room for the family’s teenagers. The master suite required a luxurious yet striking look.
