Riverside Warehouse

Combining the warmth and simplicity of Italian limestone and oak with minimal lighting, Sophie Mills Studio designed this sculptural kitchen to enhance the original beams and exposed brick in this Grade II Listed warehouse, maximising the experience of soft evening light and sweeping river views.

The vertical slats on the island form handles for subtley concealed drawers and doors, which junction with the Nero Assoluto granite top and sides at a perfect 45 degree mitre, creating a robust delicacy and unexpected finesse. Crittal doors with reeded glass form a separate pantry for food preparation and storage, and an expansive breakfast cupboard couples with a stunning marble table and bespoke bench to create an intimate area for coffee and peaceful reflection.
