Simple oriental aesthetics and contemporary modernism reach a conceptual meeting point in this space. Stepping away from the motifs of everyday life, the designer has created a space where hidden and delicate sentiments and the art of simplicity emerge from colourful everyday life. The skillful selection of textures tempers the coolness of gray and adds a warm and elegant touch. The veining of the paintings on the wall reads as natural patterns on the bark engraved by time. Around the space there are scattered ornaments– a sculpture of a fisherman, the exquisite birdcage and wooden carvings brought back from a previous trip all mark life and its passing.
