Golf Views Twinhouse

‘Bringing the outside in’ was the main design approach chosen by Maison O team while designing this 320-square-metre twin house. Since a typical twin house does not have enough windows on all sides, the team chose to create a double-height atrium/courtyard in the heart of the house to create more viewpoints and to help cross ventilation and the maximising of natural sunlight throughout the house. The use of earthy colours and natural materials was key to the design, which emphasises the concept of bringing nature into the house with a contemporary approach. As well as creating a free-floating furniture plan on the lower ground to give a sense of openness, the team also designed the roof as well as the garden landscape to keep everything in perfect harmony.
