This re-modelling of the ground and first floors of a Victorian terrace in Hampstead London was a close collaboration between the client (a fashion designer) and Richard Dewhurst, where every element of the project had to be carefully considered. The brief was to reflect my client’s love of colour, pattern and texture and to mix influences from the 30’s through to the 70’s, to create a vibrant look inspired by the likes of Dorothy Draper and David Hicks. As with the majority of my projects, working on my own means that I am responsible for every stage of the project and this one was no exception. I designed and detailed every element of the scheme, from the rear extension, down to the fitted, freestanding furniture and garden to provide a unique and personilised home.
