This luxury 80 bedroom care home in Henley-on-Thames offers residential, nursing and dementia care. As an innovative operator, the client was keen to embrace new ideas and bespoke touches to provide their residents with an engaging and supportive environment.

The home has very much been designed with sensory and cognitive impairment in mind, with colour contrast and well thought through lighting at the heart of the scheme. Communal spaces are designed to both support residents and provide them with a sense of purpose.

Keen to offer the client something unique and locally relevant, bespoke fabric, furniture and wallpaper designs were commissioned throughout the home. With rowing blazer style stripe for the bar and a toile de Jouy, featuring Henley landmarks. The dementia floor includes a florist stand and in one of the lounges a “camp blanket”, full of Brownie and Guide badges to evoke happy camp fire memories.
