Imperial Club Lounge, Atlantis The Palm Dubai

AAID designed the Imperial Club Lounge within the iconic hotel and resort Atlantis, The Palm in Dubai. A complete refurbishment opened in December 2018. AAID’s vision for this expansive lounge is a contemporary take on the property’s historic ocean-themed luxury interiors. Inspired by marine life in and around the resort and coast of UAE, the design interprets these into architectural feature elements. The coral resin flooring moves fluidly through the space and levels. Scalloped bronze mirrors and shagreen leather panels bring nature within reach. The nautical lines of the buffet and bar counters give movement to the space while ripples in the ceiling give the sense of looking up to see sunlight reaching the ocean floor. Crystal chandeliers inspired by fish, seaweeds and corals add to the luxury and grace. Art installations throughout the lounge adorn the walls to add colour and texture to the guest experience.
