Its So Travel

Katie Malik Interiors was appointed to design approximately 88 square metres of retail space for a travel agency, Its So Travel. The studio responded to the clients’ brief of creating an interactive, innovative space with a California terrace feel. Its So Travel wanted to achieve a smart-casual hotel overlooking the ocean feel, and the design team has proposed to create several zones in the space, including reception, interactive zone, lounge zone, and booking zone. For the latter, KMI designed bespoke circular booths in Its So Travel brand colours. In the interactive zone, the designers proposed clear acrylic suitcases housing virtual reality goggles. The lounge zone has a luxurious Californian terrace feel thanks to carefully selected colours, lighting and furniture finished in a beautiful beech wood, upholstered in stunning fabrics and a fabulous wall mural of the Southern Californian coast.
