German Kitchens based in Wellington, New Zealand was commissioned to design, specify and install a new kitchen and scullery for a unique private residence. Lead Designer Damian Hannah took on the project and worked tirelessly to create the space from the ground up working originally alongside the Architect to make sure the area allocated was sufficient, and then with the clients on all the materials, finishes, details and project coordination. During the Project the clients added in the adjacent fireplace design to Damian’s scope of works and he embraced the challenge, creating a matching aesthetic and integrating the fireplace into the design. The main feature of both spaces is the unique illumination to the translucent Brazilian Quartzite that Damian hand-picked. The brilliant lighting effect from behind the Quartzite adds a depth of dimension and pops of colour to the space as well as adding warmth and interest. Exceptional work.
