This was a full renovation of a Grade A listed Apartment in Edinburgh’s New Town. Our brief was to make more of the potentially large entrance hall to include a study and small library area, a luxurious bathroom closer to the bedrooms, and a good lighting scheme.
We reinvented the use of this area by creating a series of open plan and zoned spaces, giving this area an expansive and spacious feel, and we implemented a sophisticated layered lighting plan. We also installed a luxurious bathroom into a relatively small space.
Within the hall, we discovered a larger staircase behind a wall with two windows overlooking the drawing room, which we exposed, making a library and gin bar with a view through the Drawing room and to the landscaped garden beyond.
This hallway was one of the biggest transformations of this project, creating additional flexible living space, and the clients are thrilled.
