Elicyon
Project White
London, United Kingdom
All project descriptions are provided by SBID Awards entrants.
Elicyon designed an expansive five-bedroom lateral apartment in Knightsbridge, for which the scheme was inspired by the bleached and whitewashed tones and materials of Ibiza and Mykonos. The client, an avid collector, requested gallery space for art and sculpture, as well as eye-catching bespoke furniture throughout. Bright pops of colour, such as acid yellows and Yves Klein blues, create striking effects appearing from the unlikeliest of spots; ‘behind the scenes’ areas such as inner cupboard surfaces, to create a joyful moment even if only on the briefest of occasions and solely for the momentary satisfaction of the client at that unique time. The open plan living area boasts a bleached timber floor and expansive rug, on top of which sit two neutral curved sofas upholstered in bouclé. Zones are marked out by open shelving, again, giving the space an extensive, open feel.
