Taank Optometrists, located in the heart of Cambridge, was recently a structurally damaged building. Through a transformational interior redesign and expansion, this contemporary retail space puts the ‘personal approach’ to customer experience at the forefront.

Remaining clean and timeless, the multifunctional space plays with elements of theatre to enhance the ordinary. Beautifully crafted oak cabinets store frames inside compartmented drawers, allowing only a peek, via portholes on top, at a handful of exclusive products. A simple staircase has been illuminated, and frame repair workshop built within a concealed chimney breast, ensuring every aspect of the optometry process is considered.
