In-house Interior Architect & Project Manager, Mirukshi Brunton (SBID Pro) designed and project managed the new reception for the School of Arts and Creative industries at Teesside University’s oldest building, (grade II listed) Waterhouse Building, named after it’s Architect, Alfred Waterhouse, renowned for his design of the Natural History Museum in London.
The design brief entailed creating a welcoming, design focused reception area for visitors and students, with staff office and small 1-2-1 touch down room. The project design was a contemporary intervention using a small disused area of approx. 50 M sq. Original features were enhanced with a modern aesthetic.
