The Tondo 20.20 apartment is a new project designed by Masha Rosliakova in the centre of Moscow in a contemporary building surrounded by Constructivism style houses. The design of the apartment keeps a note of Socialist Realism it its’ artistic style in a compact 50 m2 area. In the functional planning, surface colours and materials were specified with contemporary interpretation. Intrigue and memorable detail is created with a ceramic Tondo bas-relief by Yanson Maneezer, produced in 1933. The Tondo with boxman has played a main role here as a key visual point and unique design element.
The open area is entered through an arch entrance, coated in a mat polished iron surface. The bedroom is designed in the colours and materials corresponding to the general palette of apartment, augmented by bespoke metal wall chandeliers, MoonRiver designed by Masha Rosliakova. Created by 3D artist, Aleksandra Kostyuchkova, Tondo 20.20 views depict the reality of future and helps to bring the moment of realisation closer.
