Unique Wood-Themed Residence
Taoyuan City, Taiwan
All project descriptions are provided by SBID Awards entrants.
Consisting of three floors, the spatial planning of the building’s first floor demonstrates an unconventional, organic approach, with the common areas such as the living room, kitchen/dining room and tea room located in the center of the space, while the master and secondary bedrooms are situated on either side. On the second floor there are symmetrical rooms for the children, and as the homeowner is a Buddhist, prayer rooms feature on the second and third floor. The top floor also features a Japanese living room and study, with a comprehensive interior design that draws upon refined contemporary Japanese style as the theme to present the simple yet elegant appearance.
