Shenzhen 1-Cube Design
YUYUYU
Guangdong, China
All project descriptions are provided by SBID Awards entrants.
This is a Chinese restaurant in Shenzhen, a vibrant city full of young consumers. The owners wished to find original ways to express oriental aesthetics, therefore the designer boldly used an array of lines and dots that extend from the door to the inside of the restaurant. This blurs the internal and external boundaries and increases the visibility of the line of sight. The end of the dining area contains a screen that depicts a fish passing through the lotus flowers. Meanwhile, the pine, stone and white sand express a simple and restrained Chinese aesthetic and constitutes the core of the vision.
